BHM Farm Equipment opened its doors in 1967, when 3 brother-in-laws and farmers, Warren Barnhart, Carl Hostetter and J. Henry Meyer, decided to join forces and serve their fellow farming community with a local Allis Chalmers and New Holland dealership.
As a high school graduate, Ellis Meyer, son of J. Henry Meyer, decided to work in the family business. By 1986 Henry Meyer was the sole owner.
Being the last of the 3 brother-in-laws to retire, J. Henry Meyer sold the business to his son Ellis and wife Stephanie. They are proud to continue to be one of the surviving Mom and Pop Business of America.
"We embrace the fact that our small business has a sense of community and family, but can still meet the demands of a business that reaches further than our localized area."
